About Goji Berry ‘Sweet Lifeberry’
The Goji Berry ‘Sweet Lifeberry’ (Lycium barbarum) is a vigorous and productive shrub, renowned for its highly nutritious and antioxidant-rich berries. This variety produces sweet, bright red berries throughout summer and autumn, ideal for fresh eating, smoothies, teas, or drying for later use. It thrives in a sunny, sheltered position with well-drained soil and is drought-tolerant once established. The plant is self-fertile and low-maintenance, making it a great addition to any garden or food forest. With its delicate purple flowers in early summer followed by vibrant berries, it adds both productivity and beauty to your space.

Garden Uses
‘Sweet Lifeberry’ can be grown as part of a fruit garden, in hedgerows, or even in containers. Its trailing habit makes it suitable for training along fences or supports, providing a striking ornamental feature while delivering a bountiful crop.

Wildlife Uses
The flowers of the Goji Berry are highly attractive to bees and other pollinators, while the berries offer a valuable food source for birds and wildlife, making it an excellent choice for biodiversity-friendly gardens.

Plant Care
Your bareroot plants will arrive carefully packaged to prevent drying out. They have been pruned back hard for transporting to prevent damage and encourage strong and healthy regrowth. Plant roots have been dusted with mycorrhizal spores to encourage a strong relationship with the soil microbiome.

Remove from packaging as soon as possible and soak in clean rainwater for a while before planting or heeling in until ready to plant in final positions. Use the soaking water to water plants in. Goji Berry grows vigorously in the spring and can tolerate light pruning to maintain shape or encourage more branching.

Plants can be further propagated by seed or hardwood cuttings in winter. Train on supports or allow to grow naturally as a shrub. For best fruiting, place in full sun and water regularly during establishment.
