Plant Care
Remove from packaging as soon as possible and soak in clean water for a while before planting into large pot or final position. If weather is inclement heal-in plants in compost or soil to prevent them from drying and protect them from frost. Plants become dormant in the autumn and grow vigorously in the spring.
Tolerant of dry weather but water regularly in their first season and mulch well.
Edible Uses
Black, Red & White currants provide plenty of delicious fruits once established in the summer and flowering currant bears a mass of sweet smelling flowers in spring. Blackcurrant leaves can be used for making infusions.
